Sandman Concept By Adam DankoThe winner of the Allivision09 competition, which was focused on vehicles for the green future, is twenty-year-old Slovakian designer Adam Danko and his Sandman concept.

The competition was announced by Allivictus s.r.o. Czech Republic and AutoDesign&Styling, bilingual Czech-English magazine.

The Sandman is a type of transportation vehicle targeted to young and active people, who like sports and need an affordable and practical car. It is powered by a combination of human propulsion and an electric engine, which helps to pedal along.

"The winning project best met all criteria of the competition. It’s about clean design, which is very sovereign in its expression," commented Václav Capouch, Škoda Auto designer and one of the jury members of the Allivision09 competition.

Young designers didn’t have to follow today’s technical restrictions and Michal brought into his project the process of Photosynthesis, to effectively transform solar energy.

Thanks to the plants inside the car, the Greenhouse could be an energy self-sufficient vehicle. The transparent body of the car allows for sufficient sunlight and at the same time defines the design of the car.

Third place was given to twenty-year-old Vít Bechynský from the Czech Republic and his notable Snap concept.

The three-wheel vehicle offers an experience as on a motorbike. But it also offers a complex transport solution.

For longer trips it’s possible thanks to the shape of each Snap, to connect together and transport collectively.

During this it’s possible to stay in the privacy of your own car, or by opening the doors join a colleague of the next Snap.
